The Joomla Project released Joomla! 2.5.19 – it’s a security update addressing two medium level vulnerabilities.
2 medium priority security issues fixed:
- Inadequate escaping leads to XSS vulnerability.
- Inadequate checking allowed unauthorised logins via GMail authentication.
6 tracker issues have also been fixed including the components category:
- Module Articles Category Issue when login as an admin in the frontend
- Global Check-In for Administrators group
- *Porting to 2.5.x loading en-GB first
- Version comparison in installer is not future proof
- Improved Joomla! extensions update handling of paid for extensions to Joomla 2.5.x
- Extension Manager reports warning if memory_limit set to -1
